What we cover
We publish guides to local businesses, restaurants, shopping, coastal attractions, leisure activities and everyday services. Our guides aim to explain what a place offers and where it is, so readers can decide whether it fits their needs.
Wallasey and the wider Wirral
Wallasey includes distinct neighbourhoods and centres: Liscard, New Brighton, Seacombe, Egremont, Poulton and Wallasey Village. Cherry Tree Shopping Centre and King Street are in Liscard; Marine Point, the Floral Pavilion, Vale Park and Fort Perch Rock are associated with New Brighton. Seacombe Ferry Terminal is on the Mersey-facing side of Wallasey. We identify the specific area rather than treating all of Wallasey as one high street.
Birkenhead is a separate town; Bidston Hill and Leasowe Lighthouse are wider-Wirral references, not Wallasey town-centre sites. Liverpool lies across the Mersey. Birkenhead Park is in Birkenhead. We include wider-Wirral or Liverpool destinations only when the article scope supports it and label them accurately.
Wirral Council is the local authority. Arrowe Park Hospital is a wider-Wirral hospital outside Wallasey. We distinguish regional services from facilities physically located in town. Wallasey Village, Wallasey Grove Road and New Brighton are separate Merseyrail stations, while ferry arrangements can change. We verify current schedules and stops before giving journey advice.
Coastal conditions matter. New Brighton promenade, beaches, Liverpool Bay and the Mersey waterfront are not identical environments. Tides, weather, access rules and route surfaces can vary; we avoid suggesting all beach areas are safe for swimming or that every path suits all users.
Sources and changing details
Where practical, we use sources close to the subject, including a business’s own information, Wirral Council, venue and organiser pages, transport operators and relevant public bodies. Business status, shop tenants, opening hours, leisure facilities, ferry services and event programmes can change. We check current details where feasible and encourage readers to confirm important information directly.
We do not invent businesses, reviews, ratings, prices, opening hours, event dates or service coverage. We verify exact addresses before describing a business as being in Wallasey rather than Birkenhead or elsewhere on the peninsula. We avoid unsupported claims about property values, safety, health outcomes, school quality or neighbourhood demographics.
Recommendations and commercial relationships
A listing or recommendation is not automatically paid for or endorsed. If content is sponsored or has another commercial relationship, we will identify it clearly. Commercial arrangements do not by themselves determine our editorial view.
Corrections
To report a possible error, email [email protected]. Include the page address, the detail in question and a reliable source if possible. We review correction requests and update material errors where appropriate. Minor edits may be made without a separate note; substantial corrections may be identified on the page.
A request does not automatically require removal or amendment. We consider accuracy, relevance, privacy, safety and the public interest. We do not publish private personal information or unverified allegations about individuals.
Scope
Our guides are selective, not a complete directory. Inclusion is not a guarantee of quality, availability or suitability, and absence is not criticism. Confirm important information with the relevant organisation before making a decision.
